Cheek music reflects the band's wide variety of influences, which include jazz, rock, and reggae, but predominantly the sound is a blend of 70's funk and melodic hip hop.
While the whole band contributes to the writing proses the majority of the music can be attributed to the talents of guitar player, Geoff Roop, and bass player, Ben Sanchez. Geoff Roop, also known as Sleeping Genius, is resented by the rest of the band for his dedication to inaction, and his ability to write brilliant music while putting in absolutely no effort. The lyrics, mostly written by Emily and Dorian Roop, range from irreverent humour, to explicit sexuality, to thought provoking social commentary. Emily Roop...wrote this bio.
Dorian Roop, also known as Brash, brings the hip hop to the band with a raw poetic style that can only be compared to a broken down Buick that still miraculously runs.

Cheek has recently been joined by brand new drummer, Luke Geifing. This excited member has finally fulfilled his life long dream of playing with Cheek.

And last but far from least, get your earholes ready for sweet sweet loving, is saxophone player Jens Christiansen, also known (by the band) as "Velvet Hamlet". Jens is the icing on the cake that gives Cheek a touch of class, which almost makes up for the rest of the band.

Following up the 2007 album "Random Acts Of Nudity", Cheek is set to release "Slut Funk" summer 2010.
