TimmyP grew up playing music in the suburbs of Vancouver BC. Born into a musical family he picked up guitar, drums and bass by the age of 11. Inspired by music of all genres, you might find him playing anything, from the crushing metal-ska-funk-sounds of Ninjaspy, to the grimy-grunge, jazz-pop tunes of Lemming Dynasty. From the bass perspective of music its all about groove, digging deep and laying it down, a never ending journey that keeps Tim focused on how to cultivate good music. With an ear for tight rhythm section arrangement, harmonies and catchy melodies, one hears influences ranging from Steely Dan to Red Hot Chili Peppers to Joni Mitchell. After 1 year of study at the Jazz Program at Capilano University ending in 2009, a hectic touring schedule from Coast to Coast with Ninjaspy has kept Tim busy while writing his own tunes in the styles of Hip-Hop, Jazz and Funk... the current movers and shakers inside this musical math equation. These days you can catch a solo bass looping performance once in a while around BC, but in the future Tim strives to lead a band: consisting of drums, bass, 2 guitars, keyboards, and a 2- 3 piece horn section to accurately capture the arrangements he hears. .. ..
